There are nine doors hidden in the walls along this corridor avoiding architraves and complicated details. The steel and glass doors were designed allow the view to the sunken garden from the entrance hall.
The colour changing cube light slices through the stone floor, walls and ceiling.
The stone floor and alabastine painted walls were selected for their natural aesthetic

Antwerp - I am only just getting acquainted with you. Some 36 years after my mother’s passing, and 2 since my Uncle passed, I am learning the stories of their childhood spent in Antwerp during the war from my Aunty. The MAS - Museum aan de Stroom exhibits the mass persecution of the Jews at the hands of the Nazi’s during the invasion of Antwerp. A deeply sad and moving experience, but one I felt I needed to take in. I will visit again soon for sure #antwerp #ancestry #belgianroots #belgianancestry #visiting Antwerp #latergram...
A selection of decorative lamps used to complete a project. I used these decorative fittings throughout the house to supplement the lighting design. Sourcing decorative pieces to finish off and set the tone in the room design is always an exciting part of the process. Lights were sourced off the shelf from @oka @thetoast @vaughandesigns and @ralphlaurenhome with the inclusion of some very special antique pieces
October 💫This little garden is clinging to the remnants of this summer. Last summer it was just finished, a newly planted space, and cabin, and in the spring of 2022 it was derelict. I designed the little cabin and garden. I’m not trained, though I’ve realised the plants I’ve used require barely any maintenance - draught tolerant as south facing, exposed site . . . #gardening #smallgarden #cabinstyle #gardencabin #cottagestyle #cottagegarden #renovation #cottagerenovation #simplestyling #smallspace #compactcottage #smallspacestyle #downsize #terraceview #landscaping #spacedesign #gardendesign #landscaping...
I love natural products - it’s part of my very being. I’m not sure why, but I see beauty in the calm and simplicity of natural fabrics with a touch of Bohemia, some pattern and texture. I have always used natural products in my work and fabrics like linen, cotton, wool and velvet are so special. However, it doesn’t stop me using a little bit of colour from time to time. Some schemes I’ve been working on. Which is your favourite? I’ll share more soon.
A contemporary study I designed for a family of lawyers, scholars and bankers - installed in 2021.
Inlaid brass compliments the oak joinery and desk top, and brass ferrules at the base of the desk legs are a practical solution to minimise damage.
During lock down the family fought for use of the study which for many years since I began work for the family when the house was purchased in 2007, was housed in stacked boxes. I designed a panic room into the space which is concealed by a hidden door leading to a space under the main stairwell. If you have a three way living, dining and kitchen space, you will know it can sometimes be tricky to arrange the space to be both aesthetically pleasing, and practical. This large first floor living area in a contemporary property presented an exciting challenge.
I separated the living and dining areas with an antique Chinese console table set behind the sofa.
Due to the shape of the room and length of the sofa, the table length was restricted, and not large enough to place the lights. I wanted to use large scale lamps so I added two side tables either side of the sofa.

One of seven bespoke sinks I designed for a project also making alterations to all the original plans to reconfigure the bathroom spaces.
I have always embraced use of natural materials in my work, offering longevity. Making use of sustainably sourced timber, stone, natural paints and lime wall rendering for architectural details creates a varied, yet natural palette from which to build the interior design.

Tucked away down a small side street - Carrer de Saint Feliu off the main tree lined square in old Palma - is a hidden gem behind a beautiful façade @rialto_living #rialtoliving #palma #histoticbuilding #palmamajorca...
Beautiful historic buildings - Deia, Valldemossa and the old city of Palma. I was imagining the the tree lined squares and avenues of Palma filled with horses and carriages and then later in the early 1900’s the beginnings of the motor car Music Aylø.sol #palma #palmaarchitecture #deià #caladeiamallorca #mallorca #majorcaarchitecture...
Shoreditch and Spitalfields - my daughter was my guide - taking me to amazing vintage clothing shops, artisanal cafes and restaurants in unusual spaces - all immersed in such a bohemian vibe.
Victorian warehouses and pubs stand to attention beside modern brutalist renovations, and tiny quiet cobbled streets proudly present beautiful Georgian town houses with facades rich in architectural ornamentation. To imagine what these buildings have seen since their creation after the great fire of London is utterly captivating, the rich diverse history of the area beguiling . . . #spitalfields #shoreditch bohemianvibe #bricklane #foodie #smokinggoat #stmarysspittel #eastend #historicallondon #london #roberthorner #spitalfieldsmarket #exploringlondon...
The nights are drawing in aren’t they. I’ve been in London this weekend wondering the delights of the rich historic architecture in Spitalfields and so many cool vintage clothing boutiques with the best tour guide - my daughter. This week I’ve been able to help someone in need… space planning a tiny apartment within a social housing scheme. It was important for me to help and to try and make a difference. I believe design can make a difference and empower others to be thoughtful about change
