A renovation of an Edwardian house which had fallen into disrepair has given a new lease of life to a wonderful building with high ceilings, huge windows and lovely proportions.

Opening up the ground floor was integral to the refurbishment of the house which now offers creative and versatile accommodation.  Fireplaces, previously bricked over and forgotten, were re opened and cast iron surrounds from the period sourced from reclamation to re introduce some of the lost period charm.

Each room has been totally restored.  White washed walls have brightened tired spaces which had fallen victim to years of neglect, the walls covered with layer upon layer of mismatched wallpaper. UPVC windows of huge proportions have been replaced with hardwood sash windows. Wherever possible, features were retained and original floorboards found under decades of dust in the loft were used to fill gaps or replace areas smothered in layers of orange varnish.  Newly laid concrete flooring was diamond polished offering a warm and eclectic country feel underlying a practical space for modern living.
